Heidi

Hello my name is Heidi.
I was born on 22nd August 1987 and I passed on 5th July 2001 ( My human sisters birthday ).

Deep down I know out of all my friends mum loved me the best because she had me the longest and I was sooooo good, I always did as I was told, mum never once had to shout at me. Now she calls me "Her Angel".

I love my mum very much and stay close to her all the time. When Blackie went to Rainbow Bridge I asked mum if I could have a puppy to look after and she got this tiny little white thing, I didn't like him at all in the beginning as he was always biting my tail but I soon taught him some manners.

Mum said I made the perfect mother, brought him up proper like with good manners. Mum did try to mate me with a beautiful black dog but he was so big he hurt my back and mum sent him home. When Sabre (the little white thing) was 18 months old he caught me in the kitchen but I was 8 years old and mum was worried about my age, she asked the vet about it and he examined me and said YES, she is pregnant but at her age you might lose her and the pups. So mum did not hesitate at all, she loved me so much that she said she was not willing to take the risk of losing me and she told the vet to abort the pups and take everything away . I would have had 3 puppies.

After that in 2 years mum had to take me to the vet to have cancer lumps removed from my mammary glands, I had this 4 times in 2 years. Mum was told that it would come back again and go to my lungs. It was a very hot summer and I could hardly breathe so mum said "I can't see you suffer like this darling" and off we went to the vet. He was so kind to me and as I started to drift into the spirit world I turned my head as mum held me and I gave her the biggest kiss I had ever given her. I wanted to say thank you mum for loving me for all these years. I would have been 14 years old the month after I passed.
