Amy

Amy was my baby. Even the kids called her mum's Baby Amy. She was so tiny when I first brought her home that she slept in a sock. She was my shadow, my little guard dog, my ever present companion and friend. She loved going out in the car and being the centre of attention. Amy lived a healthy life and was only sick the last few months of her life. Her last few days were not gentle on her and maybe I should have taken her to the vet but she bounced back before....

I thank God for the nearly 13 years I had with her. I will miss her terribly. The first time I walked through the front door and she was not there wagging her tail and happy to see me was awful.

The day before she died I took her to her favourite place... the beach. She could hardly walk so I carried her and we just sat on the sand together watching the waves.
