Samantha

Samantha was our "Miss Baby," a unique mix of Beagle, Whippet and Bluetick Hound. She lived a long and happy life, having been adopted from the Humane Society when she was 6 months old. She loved to go for long walks, until arthritis slowed her down for the last year of her life. She could spend hours sniffing at all the wonderful smells in the yard and the neighborhood. She was a real "cookie monster"; we knew that if she didn't want to eat a cookie, she was really not feeling well. We took her on trips with us whenever we could, and although she often caused us a lot of extra work and worry, we miss her terribly. Even though almost 18 years is a long life for a dog, it was much too short. Another furry friend will come along someday and join our family, but will never fill the hole that Samantha's passing has left in our hearts. Miss Baby, we will always love you and miss you!
