Oreo

From the moment I first saw you I knew you were different. You were much smaller than most hamsters. But, I took you in and have loved you ever since. You completed me not only as a pet, but as a friend. I remember I held you close on a cold winters night to keep you warm in my bed and we both fell asleep. Not a day went by without your love, care and sunshine. But your final days weren't so sunny. When you got Wet Tail, there wasn't much I could do but give you medication. On your last day on earth I told you that today you were going to sleep and when you wake up baby Jesus will be smiling down upon you with His hand reaching out to you. I told you to take His hand and He'll take you to this magical place called Rainbow Bridge. I hope that you made it and you're happy, content, and pain-free. God bless you Oreo and may your hamster wheel still be turning in all our hearts.
