Cindy (Peel) Rodgers Born: December 5th, 1946 Died: January 7th, 1987 Cindy was my sister-in-law. I remember the first time I met her was when my husband and I met on a blind date. Cindy and I spent time together talking and I remember how sweet she was. I also remember that she lit up a cigarette. She asked me if I smoked and at that time I did. Cindy told me to go ahead and light a cigarette because she wanted to see Dennis’ face when he came back. I asked her if he disapproved of smoking and she said yes. I told her that I wouldn’t smoke then and she said, no please do. I ended up lighting the cigarette and Cindy sure was surprised when Dennis came back and only said – well that’s ok if she wants to smoke. Cindy was a very nice person who I loved a lot. She had a warm and loving heart that she shared with everyone. Cindy always treated me well and we enjoyed spending time together. Unfortunately Cindy’s time here on earth was cut short. She died at home of a heart attack. She left behind her husband, three children and other family members and friends. One thing that is really sad is that she is a grandmother but she is not here to enjoy them. Knowing her, she would have been the most giving and caring grandmother in the world with her grandchildren. She has two grand daughters and three grandsons. It is also a shame that her grandchildren will never know her except for the comments and stories that they are told about her. But not being able to actually spend time with her is a huge loss for them. Cindy is missed by the whole family and I am so pleased that I had as much time with her as I did. God Bless you Cindy. |
